Into the woods
Where the wildflowers grow
Where the s e c r e t s tend to hide
Lies a place, which few people know

An old, b r o k e n  house
Fit for a family of two
Nestled deep within the woods
A young woman and her granny too

All dressed in red
It’s time to play
Little does she know
She’s got a new companion that’s there to stay

He watches from the shadows
A guardian of the night
There to keep her company
But instead brings fear and fright

He means no harm
A beast misunderstood
A sheep in wolf’s clothing
A faithful friend, if he could

The moon shines bright
Across the sunken path
She’s all by herself
Is this my chance, finally, at last?

Face to face, nose to nose
It all seems too s u r r e a l
Her breath catches, my eyes glow
She surely doesn’t think she’s my next meal?

“Hey little girl, it’s just me;
Don’t be afraid, I don’t bite.”
Her e  y  e  s watch me intently
Her body shakes in the chilly night

One step, two
My hand just before her face
So still, and oh so very  c o l d
Have I already lost her faith?

“What a pretty voice you have,
It sets my mind at peace…”
“What precious eyes you have,
You can actually see the TRUE me.”

“What a delicate frame you have,
It feels so wonderful to be held again…”
“What perfect lips you have,
They’ll take away all the p a i n.”

Into the woods
Where the wildflowers g  r  o  w
Where secrets tend to hide
Starts a story of love that few people know

How do you think he's felt through out the years of fairytales?

My interpretation of Little Red, though I'm cutting it a little close to the deadline on this one. ^^;

Beautiful, I like this better than the original story. It is so sad that this is not taught in school. It would be much better than the violent type :aww:

There's a song that is very similar to this. It is called "The Wolf That Fell with Red Ridding Hood," which has been my number one favorite love song since October. It's in Japanese but there are some videos with the English translations on Youtube. I highly suggest you listen to this.

Thank you for sharing this, should I say art, because as I was reading it, I was also picturing the event, and yes, such a brilliant work, mostly because at least I found a good version of this story. I like this one better, also, I don't know why the original ones are so violent?

Thank you once again. Namaste!

This comment made my day. Thank you so much for your kind words. The point of this piece was to tell the story from a different point of view and get the idea across that it didn't always have to end badly and I'm glad I got that across. Thanks again for your lovely comment.
